In the quiet moments, I am focused on reflection and repentance in preparation for Yom Kippur. As a result, I haven’t set aside much time to write in my writer’s notebook.

I did manage, however, to revise a few pieces that were scribbled in there earlier in the season, before the celebration of numerous holidays interfered with the routines of daily life.  Here are two links to my words from this week:

tools of the trade web1. You may be familiar with the heightened anxiety and stress that can accompany holiday seasons. So it seems fitting that Tiferet posted my piece “Anxiety Closet” on their featured blogs this week.

2. My quarterly newsletter “From My Writers Notebook” was sent via MailChimp on Tuesday morning. If you missed it, you can still read it and download the story “Isaac with Elijah.”

Postscript: Please subscribe–simply type your email into the box at the top, right corner of this page–because I have prepared a podcast version of another story that I will share with subscribers after the holidays, and I’m eager to read your comments on these stories. Thank you for staying in touch in September!
